Ford Co-Pilot360™ Highlights
Pre-Collision Assist
Using camera technology, Pre-Collision Assist can detect pedestrians and other vehicles that lie in your path. If the system detects the possibility of a collision, an audible alert will prompt you to brake. Automatic Emergency Braking will precharge and increase the brake-assist sensitivity for you so you can avoid or mitigate a collision. If evasive measures are not detected, the brakes can automatically activate to provide every possibility of avoiding the collision.
Active Park Assist
Parallel parking is no longer a source of anxiety with Active Park Assist. This system will detect if a parking space is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and will steer you into the space as it guides you when to shift, accelerate, and brake.
With available Enhanced Active Park Assist the system will also help guide you in and out of parallel, reverse, and perpendicular parking spots. Select 2020 Ford models take parking to the next level with the Active Park Assist 2.0 button. Simply shift into neutral, take your foot off the brake, and the system will take full control over steering, braking, acceleration, and shifting.
BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System)
Nothing is more nerve wracking than finding another car traveling in your blind spot. Using advanced radar sensors, BLIS® will scan for vehicles entering your blind spot so you know when to change lanes with confidence. Once the turn signal is activated, indicator lights in the side view mirror will alert you if it is unsafe to merge at that time.
Other similar features include Cross-Traffic Alert which will emit an audible warning if a car is passing when you’re backing out of a parking space or a driveway. With Trailer Coverage — available in select Ford pickups or full-size SUVs — BLIS® coverage extends to accommodate conventional trailers up to 9 feet wide and 33 feet long.
