Though lighter than the previous model year, the new Ford Super Duty has bulked up in areas that matter most: the axles, steering system, chassis, and fully boxed frame. The frame is crafted from high-strength steel and boasts up to ten crossmembers to maximize strength and torsional rigidity. By shoring up the frame, Ford created a firm foundation to handle high payloads and towing capacities.
When you need to load or unload the box of the Ford Super Duty, you can easily climb up with the integrated tailgate step with step assist, which hides away inside the tailgate when not in use. You can also use the available remote tailgate release with the power remote to lock or unlock and lower it hands-free.
Inside the pickup’s bed, use the available BoxLink™ system to attach and tie down all kinds of cargo. This system features four reconfigurable interface plates and four lockable, removable cleats to accommodate items of all shapes and sizes. And when the sun sets on your workday, you can keep going with the available LED lamps in the box that light up your workspace.

The Super Duty comes standard with a 6.2L Flex-Fuel V8 engine that produces 430 lb.-ft. of torque and pairs with the Ford TorqShift® 6-speed automatic transmission for smooth gear changes and optimal performance. If you need more power for your projects, opt for the available 450-horsepower 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 engine that pumps out an incredible 935 lb.-ft. of torque.
When properly equipped, the Ford Super Duty delivers a conventional towing capacity of 21,000 lbs. It can tow 5th-wheel trailers up to 27,500 lbs. and can accommodate Gooseneck trailers up to 35,000 lbs. That means you can move equipment and outdoor toys with ease.
